Vicentia “Cindy” Gay Pacheco, 51, of Denver, Colo., passed away May 17, 2020, in Wheat Ridge.
Vicentia “Cindy” Gay Pacheco was born on July 24, 1968, to Wilma Thin Elk and Vincent Cadotte in Rapid City, S.D. Cindy made her journey to the Spirit World on May 17, 2020, at the Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Wilma Thin Elk; daughter, Dolores Lillian Pacheco; son, Asay Charles Spotted Eagle; siblings, Babette Thin Elk, Asay (Avanelle) No Braid, Michelle Eagle Hunter, Margaret Eagle Hunter-Henry, Victoria Lee, Vanessa Foskey, Shelley Eagle Hunter, Vincent Cadotte, Jr., Douglas Cadotte, Shirley Bear Robe, Audrey Montray, Agnes and Cathy Randall, and Patrick Randall; eight grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Cadotte; grandparents, Mildred Galligo-Holy Rock, Lawrence Galligo, and Charles “Jim” No Braid; sisters, Valentina Thin Elk and Vergeline “Deborah” Cadotte-Floyd; niece, Victoria Piper; grandsons, Dauntay Lee Bad Milk and Damien Piper; granddaughters, Nazoni Piper, Baylee Makes Him First, and Waniyetu Ska Win Piper.
Visitation services were held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery near Rockyford, with Mr. Mike Little Boy performing the traditional Lakota services.
Burial services were held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery, Rockyford.
