Jonathan J. Two Bulls-Brave “Hoksila Was’te,” 33, of Oglala, S.D., passed away July 18, 2020, in Rapid City.
Jonathan “B” James Two Bulls-Brave was born on July 12, 1987, in Pine Ridge to Albert Paul Brave, Jr. and Pauline Two Bulls. Jonathan made his journey to the Spirit World on July 18, 2020, at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.
Jonathan is survived by his parents, Pauline Two Bulls and Albert Brave, Sr. both of Oglala; brothers, Justin Two Bulls, Christopher Catches, Cyrus, Dylan, and Albert Brave III all of Oglala; sisters, Samantha Two Bulls and family and Amanda Burgess and family both of Chadron, Neb., Brooke and Shannae Brave both of Oglala; grandparents, Henry Brings Him Back, Oglala, Jerry Two Bulls, Red Shirt Table, Annabelle Brave and Corrine Brave both of Oglala.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sylvia Brings Him Back, Albert Brave, Sr., Gilbert Brave, Jeanette Blue Horse, and Donald Earl Two Bulls; and great-grandparents, Phillip and Nancy (Chase In Winter) Brings Him Back.
A two night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, at the Pauline Two Bulls Residence in Oglala.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at the Pauline Two Bulls Residence in Oglala, with Sister Barb Bogenschutz, Pastor Leon Schwartz and Pastor Eric Sutton officiating and Mr. Mike Little Boy performing the traditional Lakota services.
Burial services were held at Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery in Oglala.
