Martie Lynn Chase Alone, 34, of Federal Heights, Colo., passed away October 10, 2020, in Englewood.
Martie Lynn Chase Alone was born on March 9, 1986, in Pine Ridge, S.D. to Connie Apple and Marty Chase Alone, Sr. Martie made her journey to the Spirit World on October 10, 2020 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. She was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Martie is survived by her father, Marty (Lori) Chase Alone, Federal Heights; mother, Connie Apple, Manderson; daughter, Adrianna Schmidt, Portland, Ore.; siblings, Helen (Chris) Cendrowski, Hawaii, Marty Chase Alone, Jr., Newburg, Mo., Helen Hunabach, Oberhausen, West Germany, Yvonne Chase Alone, Denver, Crystal Mondragon, Taos, N.M., Carmen Running Bear, Denver, Gerald Cottier, Jr. and Leonard Comes Killing both of Pine Ridge, Darrell Cottier, Anthony Comes Killing, Loretta Comes Killing, and Charlie Comes Killing all of Rapid City, Roxanne Comes Killing, Colorado Springs, and Connie Comes Killing, Manderson; grandparents, Valaria Apple, Manderson, and George Looks Twice, Oglala; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Martie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vina Helen Chase Alone, Charlie Comes Killing, Paul Apple, and Stella Apple-King; and great-grandparents, Mark Big Road, Lizzie Good Weasel, and Leo and Lucy (Black Elk) Looks Twice.
A two night wake service was held starting at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, at the #9 Community Church in Manderson.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, at the #9 Community Church in Manderson, with Pastor Jeremy Moux officiating and Delaney Apple performing the traditional Lakota services.
