Horace Albert Wounded Arrow “Tasunka Zi Wicasa” ~ Yellow Horse, 64, of Rapid City, S.D., passed away November 3, 2020, in Rapid City.
Horace Albert Wounded Arrow was born on September 25, 1956, in Gordon, Neb. to Harry Wounded Arrow, Jr. and Matilda Spider. Horace made his journey to the Spirit World on November 3, 2020, at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Horace is survived by his daughters, Brenda Wounded Arrow and Nicole Wounded Arrow; son, George Hawk Wing; brothers, Marty (Pam) Wounded Arrow, Purvis Wounded Arrow, and Mark (Tim) Wounded Arrow; sisters, Arletta Wounded Arrow, and Rose Wounded Arrow; hunka brother, Tom Cheyenne; cousins; three grandchildren; and special friend, Sarah Belt.
Horace was preceded in death by his mother, Matilda Spider; father, Harry Wounded Arrow, Jr.; son, Brandon Wounded Arrow; daughter, Jaime Wounded Arrow; sisters, Loretta Agetha and Victoria; brother, Adam Wounded Arrow; grandparents, Julia and Albert Spider, Harry Wounded Arrow, Sr., and Lucille Bush-Wounded Arrow.
A one night wake service will be held starting at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, at the Brenda Wounded Arrow Residence–1105 Johnson Holy Rock Drive in Batesland.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, at the Brenda Wounded Arrow Residence–1105 Johnson Holy Rock Drive in Batesland.
Burial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Cemetery in Sharps Corner.
