Hannah Grace Mardis

Hannah Grace Mardis, 23, of Kyle, S.D., passed away November 4, 2020, in Kyle.

Hannah Grace Mardis was born on September 1, 1997, in Pine Ridge to Ruth Billy and Marty Mardis. Hannah made her journey to the Spirit World on November 4, 2020 near Kyle.

Hannah is survived by her parents, Ruth Billy and Marty Mardis; siblings, Santee Iron, Sr., Frank Iron III, Wayne Iron, Sr., Matthew Iron, Sr., Mildred Eckhart, Robert Miller, Robert Janis, Robin Mardis, Tanner Pierce, Tyrell Pierce, Mitchell Gay, and Crayton O’John.

Hannah was preceded in death by her grandma, Mildred “Hazel” Lavon Thunder Bull, Iris Sherry Billy/O’John, Victoria Mardis, Rawleigh Mardis, Karen Mardis, Shilo Pierce, Terrell Janis, Ferris Janis, and JoDon Shangreaux.

A one night wake service was held starting at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, at the Kyle Pow-wow Grounds in Kyle.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 12, at the Kyle Pow-wow Grounds in Kyle, with Merle Whistler performing the traditional Lakota services.

Burial services were held at the St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle.
