Dora Maggie Brown, 84, of Wanblee, S.D., passed away November 11, 2020, in Wanblee.
Dora Maggie Brown was born on September 12, 1936, in Wanblee to Rueben and Jennie (Richards) Brown. Dora made her journey to the Spirit World on November 11, 2020, at her home in Wanblee.
Dora is survived by her children, Stanley (Sandra) Young, Wanblee, William Lamont, Wanblee, and Linda (Henry) B. Yellow Elk, Wanblee; hunka family, Renee Thin Elk, One Horn Family, Clarence Yellow Elk, and Prairie Rose DuBray; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Rueben and Jennie Brown; son, Edward Bartlett; daughters, Ruth Brown-Wright and Valarie Lamont-Wooden Knife; grandson, Tyler Trask-Randall; paternal grandparents, David Brown and Alice Goes In Center, Red Dog Track, Breast, Horse on the Ground, Goes In Center, Beads, and Red Rock; and maternal grandparents, Alfred Richards and Nellie Randall, Randall, Reynolds, and Afraid of Bear.
A one night wake service will be held starting at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, at the T&T Center in Wanblee.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, at the T&T Center in Wanblee, with Pastor Chris Grillo officiating and Richard Moves Camp and Russell Eagle Bear performing the traditional Lakota services.

Burial services: will be held at the Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee.
