Ron Dailey
Ronald Lewis Dailey, 83, passed away on May 9, 2021, in Martin, S.D.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, in the American Legion Auditorium in Martin.
Ron was born on November 6, 1937, in Knox, Pa. to Elmer and Ruth (Faulknew) Dailey. His father Elmer was a preacher so he moved to various places while he was growing up. In his younger years he enlisted in the Navy. He served one term, then got out and tried civilian life for a while. He then decided to reenter the Navy as a career. He served a total of 23 years. In the early years of his Navy career, he met Bernadine Dailey. They got married on March 5, 1961. To this union three children were born; Ruth, Ronald and Denise.
He leaves to mourn his passing, daughter Ruth Temple, Kellien, Texas, son Ronald Dailey Jr., Martin, sister Caroline Acre, Pace, Fla., brother Bob Dailey, Pace, Fla., numerous grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his folks Elmer and Ruth Dailey, sister Betty Dezman, daughter Denise Melvin and his wife Bernadine “Bunny” Dailey.
During his career, he had the privilege of seeing many parts of the world and spent a lot of time on the ocean. He will be missed by his family and friends.
