Patricia Joan (Salway) Krier, 76, of Martin, made her way to the spirit world on August 26, 2021, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. She was born on June 9, 1945 to Marvin and Wyomia (Fay) Salway in Edgemont.
Patricia attended high school in Pine Ridge. She married the love of her life, Robert Krier on December 1, 1962, in Casper, Wyo. They were blessed with two children, Kristine, and Kurtis. She and Robert spent a large part of their lives in and around Martin. Together, she and Robert enjoyed fishing, baking, decorating cakes and visiting the casino. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and all sorts of crafts as well as bingo. She always had a love of stuffed animals. She loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. She was always listening to music and enjoyed watching western movies. Patricia was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and volunteer whenever anyone needed help. Patricia loved her family dearly.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Krier; her sisters Shirley Salway and Orla Salway; daughter Kristine (Gerald) Novak; son Kurtis (Lucero) Krier; grandchildren Anthony (Christian) Novak, Nathan (Malesa) Novak, Nicole Novak, Zayra Krier and Vlad Krier; great-grandchildren Zakk, Tristan, Justin, and Greyson; nephews Virgil (Cercie), Rudy, Robert, and Jesse; nieces, Wyomia (Dave) and Patty Jo; great-nephews, Alex, Aric, Sage, Seth and great-niece Teka.
She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Wyomia Salway, her sister Sandra Salway, brothers Ashton Salway and Marvin Ritts and nephew Butch.
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all family and friends.
Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Martin. Officiating is Deacon Cal Clifford. There will be a light meal served at 4:00 p.m., at Martin City Park. Burial service is to be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
