Garrett Hodson

June 20, 2000 - October 13, 2023

Garrett Rae Hodson, age 23, left us on Friday, October 13, 2023, in Denver, Colo. Garrett was born in Gordon, Nebr. in June of 2000 to Kevin and Kaye Hodson. The youngest of four children, Garrett filled his life as a Marine, a hardworking rancher, and was working towards becoming a diesel mechanic. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

In 2018 Garrett graduated from Bennett County High School. He qualified for the state track meet all four years of high school. His favorite track event was the 110 hurdles.

On August 4, 2018, Garrett joined the United States Marine Corps. He spent the next four years stationed at Camp Pendleton working as a motor vehicle operator. After serving in the Marines, Garrett returned to Hodson Ranch for a year before deciding to pursue further education to become a diesel mechanic at Lincoln Technical College in Denver. Garrett was a student at Lincoln Technical College at the time of his death.

He had a wonderful sense of humor. Garrett was always quick with a witty comment or joke. He had the ability to quickly make friends everywhere he went and loved spending time with his family and friends. Garrett will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
