Marvin Dean “Dicky” Poor Bear, 44, of Vermillion, S.D., passed away August 20, 2012, in Martin.
A two night wake service will be held, Thursday, August 23, starting at 1:00 p.m., at the DuBray Residence located five miles west of Allen, with the second night, Friday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m., at the Allen CAP Office, Allen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m., at the Allen CAP Office, Allen, with Father Rick Abert officiating, and traditional Lakota services provided by Mr. Roy Stone Sr.
Burial will be held at the DuBray Family Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Poor Bear, Vermillion; mother, Martha DuBray, Allen; sisters, Pauline and Ruth Ann DuBray, both of Allen; brothers, Mitchell DuBray, Roger Yellow Boy, and Wayne Fire Thunder, all of Allen, Jody DuBray, Illinois, Wally Poor Bear, Porcupine, and Kevin Poor Bear, Pine Ridge; son, Darrin Leen Knecht, Rapid City; daughters, Aleta Lenn Knecht, Rapid City, Jolene Johnston, Pine Ridge, Natalynn Poor Bear, Boise, Idaho, and Melina Poor Bear, Martin.
