Wake service: One night service, starting November 27, 2012, 2 p.m., at the Brother Rene Hall, Oglala.
Funeral services: Wednesday, November 28, 2 p.m., at the Brother Rene Hall, Oglala

Traditional Lakota services: Led by Mr. Rayford Featherman and Mr. Ivis Long Visitor.
Burial: Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery, Oglala.
Survivors include parents, Karen Between Lodges, Oglala, and Charles Long Soldier, Kyle; children, Cheryl (Kelsey) Long Soldier, Shania Long Soldier, and Corby Long Soldier, all of Oglala; grandchildren, Xander and Saff’ron Good Lance, both of Oglala; brothers, Travis Barden-Richard, Pine Ridge, Tim Long Soldier and Donald Long Soldier, both of Kyle, Antoine Long Soldier, Manderson, Kirti Bear Stop, Sioux Falls, and Charles Long Soldier Jr. and Michael Featherman, of Oglala; sisters, Leilani Long Soldier, Ola and Precious Featherman, both of Oglala, Kimberly and Emily Long Soldier, both of Kyle, Tahnee Between Lodges, Ogden, Utah, Promise Long Soldier, Bismarck, ND, and Bobbi Long Soldier of Manderson.
Brett was preceded in death by his sisters, Cheryl and Carla Long Soldier; brothers, Julian Stands Sr. and Baby Kenny Featherman; aunt, Norene Between Lodge; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Janis-Long Soldier; and maternal grandparents, Walter Between Lodge and Nora Frog.
