Bennett County High School will be hosting a wrestling quad. on Thurs. Jan. 24 starting at 5:00 MT (6:00 CT).

This is an added event to replace the triangular that was scheduled for Jan. 11 that was postponed due to the weather.

Girls notch third straight with 48-31 win over Stanley County

Bennett County High School girls basketball coach preached finishing games strong after a close loss to Hill City Jan. 4, and his team has responded by winning three straight games including a 62-61 nail biter over Little Wound Jan. 8 in Martin.

They followed up the close win with a decisive win over Stanley County Jan. 10 in Ft. Pierre.

Lady Warriors take down Wall Use strong fourth quarter for win

After a heartbreaking overtime loss to a good Hill City team Friday night in Martin, Bennett County’s girls high school basketball coach Ken Soderlin said his girls need to learn how to finish the game. The very next night, in Wall, his message got through to his team as they used a strong fourth quarter to defeat a solid Wall team, 40-24.

Boys take sixth at Jones County Tournament

Bennett County played well enough to pick up a win in all three games at the Jones County Invitational boys basketball tournament last week, but ended up with one win and a pair of losses to take sixth place.

In the opener, Colome pulled out a 46-42 win over the Warriors. In a close game throughout, the Warriors battled well against a good Colome team, but fell just short.

The Bennett County Boys basketball team has found the road a bad place to be lately and the bad news is, they are in the middle of a nine straight road games stretch and it doesn’t get any easier.

McCollam wins Lyman wrestling Tourney Bennett Co. hosting meets Friday and Saturday

The BCHS wrestling team competed in the Mid-Dakota Monster wrestling tournament held in Presho this past Friday and Saturday.  This is one of the better wrestling tournaments held in South Dakota with teams from all across the state.  It was definitely the toughest tournament we have been to so far this season with 23 teams competing and dozens of ranked wrestlers.…

Bennett County teams earn Academic Achievement Team Award

Lady Warriors lose on last second shot in overtime
