The Bennett County track team traveled to Belle Fourche on Thursday, April 18, to compete in Custer’s 2019 invitational meet. The Warrior track team brought home good placings from a tough meet full of good athletes.

Golfers take on brutal weather conditions in Philip

Wind and cold do not come close to describing the brutal weather conditions that took place at the Philip Invite last Friday. Our golfers faced raging winds, temperatures that bounced from warm to cold, and a vicious ten minute rain brought on by a minor thunderstorm.

Bennett County Middle School track results from Chadron Invitational

Our middle school students did great in Chadron on Saturday, April 6. We had one of the smallest teams in attendance, but our Warriors claimed several ribbons. Coach Smokov and myself were very proud of how our athletes behaved, competed, and supported one another. They showed true Warrior Pride all day long. Eden Fanning places at National Powerlifting meet

Eden Fanning finished second place in the Women’s Raw High School JV at 57 kg at the National Powerlifting meet in Louisiana on March 28. Eden also finished 5th place Women’s Raw High School JV Best Lifter Overall in the Nation. At the meet, Eden set new personal bests in squats - 92.5 kg (203.93 lbs) and bench - 55 kg (121.25 lbs), and she maintained her deadlift at 102.5 kg…

BC Golf starts season with Elks Challenge

The Bennett County Golf Team kicked off their golf season by traveling to Rapid City to compete in the Elks Challenge Tournament. Due to prior harsh weather conditions, the team came into this meet with two weeks of indoor practice focusing on their short game. Considering most of the region was in the same boat, all teams attending were on a similar playing field.

Harris, Allen, Ireland place at State B Wrestling Tournament

Bennett County qualified five wrestlers for the State B Wrestling Tournament last weekend and three came home with medals — Tee Allen, Jared Harris and Weston Ireland. The Warriors finished in 20th place as a team.

Harris and Allen won their first two matches, assuring them of at least a sixth place finish, then each went on to finish fourth.
