Warriors boys defeated by Little Wound 56-37

The Bennett County Warriors boys basketball team played well early but faltered later in the game, coming in on the short end of a 56-37 score.

Caysen Soderlin had a good game with a team high 17 points including 9 of the first 13 Warrior points.

The Warriors went up 8-4 on a pair of Shooter Frederick free throws, but the host team Mustangs scored the last five points of the opening quarter to lead 9-8.

Bennett County went on top 13-11 with Soderlin scoring the first five Warrior points in the second quarter, but he picked up his second foul and went to the bench for the rest of the half.

After that, Little Wound would out-score the Warriors 19-6 to go up 30-19 at the half.

With Soderlin back in to start the second half, he quickly went to work scoring four points to make it 30-23.

After that, Little Wound went on a 14-2 run to make it 44-25 entering the final quarter.

The Warriors could not close the gap and took the 56-37 loss.

Little Wound won the JV game 75-41.
