Gropper and Pettit unofficially win school board election

The Bennett County School Board election was held on Tuesday, April 9, with Gabe Gropper and Ryan Pettit unofficially coming out on top.

Candidates were vying for two spots held by incumbent Scott Huber and Josh Fanning who did not run for reelection.

Despite the beautiful weather and hyped up election, Bennett County only had 404 voters turnout which is 20.05% of those registered.

Vote totals for each candidate are as follows:

Ralph Ryan Pettit: 234

Gabe Gropper: 217

Scott Huber: 163

Judd Schomp: 131

By precinct votes counted were:
