Harris takes third place title at Mid Dakota Monster Wrestling Tournament

Bennett County placed tenth out of 23 teams at the powerful Mid-Dakota Monster Wrestling Tournament in Presho January 4-5. Bennett County traveled with only 11 wrestlers to the big meet. 

Jared Harris had a good weekend on the mats bringing home the third place title. Warrior senior Tee Allen and junior Weston Ireland took the fourth place titles. Ty Allen placed eighth.

Krolikowski named All-American

CLEVELAND, Ohio - A total of seven South Dakota State University football student-athletes were named recently to All-America teams compiled by Phil Steele Publications, including Redshirt Freshman Krockett Krolikowski.

Krolikowski and Pierre Strong were honored on the Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-America Second Team.

A tough season opener for Anthony Muilenburg’s Bennett County girls as they opened their season in Mission against a guard-heavy team that ran the floor and applied a suffocating press. 

Todd County, applying a full-court press forced a ton of turnovers, started the game on fire and jumped out to a big lead early before winning the contest, 87-20.

Buckle up, Bennett County hoops looking to take the next step

A year ago, the Bennett County boys played the final game of the season on their home floor. While that alone might not get Warrior fans’ blood pumping, that season-ending loss, 92-69 was the first time in coach Jason Buckles’ tenure that the Warriors hosted a first-round region game.

Team, effort and tradition as Lady Warriors begin season Saturday

Each day as Anthony Muilenburg and Abbie Saxton walk into Bennett County basketball practice they are greeted by a 30-strong throng of young ladies ready to get better.
