Eden Fanning finished second place in the Women’s Raw High School JV at 57 kg at the National Powerlifting meet in Louisiana on March 28. Eden also finished 5th place Women’s Raw High School JV Best Lifter Overall in the Nation. Harris, Allen, Ireland place at State B Wrestling Tournament

Bennett County qualified five wrestlers for the State B Wrestling Tournament last weekend and three came home with medals — Tee Allen, Jared Harris and Weston Ireland. The Warriors finished in 20th place as a team.

Harris and Allen won their first two matches, assuring them of at least a sixth place finish, then each went on to finish fourth.

Bennett County rolled to two big wins and a hard loss in dual wrestling action at the Bennett County Quadrangular Friday in Martin. 

1st Place - Belle Fourche

2nd Place - Bennett County

Lady Warrior season ends in Todd County

Highly regarded Todd County exploded for 41 first quarter points in the first round of the Region 7A playoffs enroute to a 68-15 win over Bennett County, ending the Lady Warriors season on Monday night in Todd County.

Wrestlers fall just short of team title, claim three individual champs

Bennett County fell just short of winning the team title of the Bennett County Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday in Martin, racking up 159 points for second place, behind champion Belle Fourche with 177. 

The host Warriors placed five in the finals with three taking championships, Jared Harris, Weston Ireland and Tee Allen. Gabe Fanning and Mason Heath placed second.

Lady Warriors lose to up-and-coming Crazy Horse team

Bennett County hosted Crazy Horse January 14 in high school girls basketball action, falling 52-39.

Crazy Horse jumped out to a quick lead, with a run of 10 points before Angie Winters put up a shot with nine seconds left in the first quarter, ending the score 10-2.

It is that time again to order State wrestling tickets. The combined State Wrestling meet is being held in Rapid City’s Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.on February 22-23.

Little Wound runs by Lady Warriors

In a game of quick hands and fast breaks, Bennett County struggled against Little Wound’s Lady Mustangs, falling 69-14.
